New Media Self Portrait #1
Here is my first new media self portrait. I made it on the Deep Dream Site using a photo that I took this afternoon and a photo of a WW1 recruiting poster from Ireland. I wanted to use an image that was graphic and colorful, and I photographed this one so I had a high resolution image. The algorythm seemed to like the printed words on the image and turned the eyes into this weird geometrical shape. Here is the image I used: The original was a lithograph, which gives an interesting texture to the portrait. I think it looks a little like a comic book. I tried another one too using a woodcut by Sharaku: I like how the algorythm picks up textures from the original.
